I teach a limited number of piano students, both adults and children.
I specialise in working with beginners, helping to develop their confidence and musicality.
These lessons are currently held in person for students attending St Hilary's School, or over SKYPE for private students.
Please contact me to discuss starting or continuing your musical journey. Rusty adults welcome!
I have a full size electric piano for any students attending lessons in person. This can be cleaned easily and is positioned so that we can maintain 2m distance in my studio.
Once social distancing is no longer required, students will be able to play my Steinway Essex piano (below).
For adult learners, I often use the book "It's never too late to play Piano" by Pam Wedgwood. This comes with a helpful CD.
For younger learners, we normally start with "Me and My Piano Part 1".
I find that both adults and children develop their reading much faster by also starting work on the written music theory books.
