Carols for Cellos Part 1 (includes pianos!)
Carols for Beginners includes both piano and cello students. I will have several electric keyboards available so we can all play together!
Music required: Cello Time Christmas, Piano Time Carols. We will play about 6 carols at a friendly pace, then some others at a faster pace.
You won't be playing all the carols - you can just choose some of the ones you're most comfortable with.
Most of these will be in first position, no extensions!
Carols list: tbc but definitely from those books
If you can play carols at a decent pace and have played in a group before. We will be playing some things together, and some in two (or more) parts. There may be a few special solo items.
Music required: Cello Time Christmas, and I'll send out some music too.
Carols list: Silent night (2 parts), Rudolph (2 parts), Walking in the Air (unison - has extensions!) O holy night (has a shift!)

ADVANCED
Are you solid Grade 4+? Do you feel confident holding your part while many around you play something different? If so, this is for you! We will be doing a selection of traditional christmas carols in up to 5 parts, arranged by me for cello ensemble. I am hoping that we will have 4 people on each part, which will give you a nice team to play with. There may be a few solo or smaller ensemble items.
There will be shifts, tenor clef, thumb position, descants, and other delights.
Music required: I'll send it out once I know who's coming, so I can make sure we have the right mix.
